We, RiskSync, respect the privacy of everyone that comes in contact with us. We process your personal data confidentially in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation. This privacy statement describes how RiskSync handles personal data.

Which personal data do we process?

Below you will find an overview of the personal data that we – possibly – record and/or process.

  • First and Last name
  • Your chosen form of salutation (for example Mr., Ms., etc.)
  • Company details:
    • Address
    • Phone number (fixed and/or mobile)
    • Email address
    • Company website URL
  • Job title
  • Other personal data that is actively provided, for example through submitting a form on our website or in correspondence by telephone.
  • Information about your activities on our website.

Why do we process personal data?

We process your personal data for contracting and deepen your relationship with RiskSync. You largely determine yourself, how far you want to extend this relationship. We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To be able to respond to an information request regarding our products or services;
  • To contact you by phone or in writing to be able to provide you our services when using our products;
  • To inform you about changes in respect to our products and services;
  • To send you our newsletter and/or other promotional communications, for which we have your consent.
  • RiskSync analyzes your activities on our website in order to improve the website and tailor the range of products and services to your preferences.

From the moment that you apply to an activity (for example a meeting, the newsletter or to request specific information), through the website or in any other way, then RiskSync has a legitimate interest to use your data to send related, relevant information. This, until you indicate that you do no longer want to receive this information.

If your organization is a customer of RiskSync, we will process your data as a necessary part of the implementation of the rights and obligations arising from the customer-supplier relationship or because this is obliged by law.

How long do we store your data?

RiskSync stores your personal data to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. Our retention period starts immediately after registration of the data and your data will be deleted when they are no longer relevant to our services.

The aforementioned terms apply unless RiskSync is obliged by law to keep personal data longer.

Special and/or sensitive personal data

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are younger than 16 years. Unless they have permission from parents or guardians. However, we cannot check if a visitor is older than 16 years. We encourage parents to be involved in the online activities of their children, in order to prevent data about children being collected without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal information about a minor without permission, please contact our data protection officer, Pardi Scheffer, at pardi@patientsafety.com. He will delete the information.

Automated decision-making

RiskSync does not make decisions based on automated processing on matters that can have (significant) consequences for people. These are decisions taken by computer programs or systems, without the intervention of a person (for example, an employee of RiskSync).

Sharing personal data with third parties

RiskSync does not sell your data to third parties and only provides them if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. With companies that process your data in our order, we conclude a processor agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data.

Cookies or similar techniques that we use

A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit a website. In particular, the IP address, the time of requesting and the data that your browser sends are recorded. This data is used for static analysis of the visitor- and click behavior on the website. All this to optimize the website.

RiskSync uses analytical cookies from Hubspot. These are used to analyze the performance of the website.

We use Google Analytics to perform analyzes. Read the privacy policy of Google for more information, as well as the specific privacy policy of Google Analytics.

You can opt out of cookies by configuring the settings of your internet browser so that it does not store cookies anymore. In addition, you can delete the information previously saved via the settings of your browser. 

View, modify or delete data

You have the right to request and correct your personal data at all times and we will delete them at your request.

If you would like more information about RiskSync, our privacy policy, or if you want to view, modify or delete personal data, please contact our data protection officer, Pardi Scheffer (pardi@patientsafety.com). We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but at the latest within four weeks.

Complaints about data processing can also be submitted to the national privacy supervisor.

How we protect personal data

RiskSync takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of abuse, please contact our data protection officer, Pardi Scheffer, at pardi@patientsafety.com .

Changes to our privacy statement

We reserve the right to amend this privacy statement. Changes will be published on our website. RiskSync therefore advises to visit this page on a regular basis to see if any adjustments have been made. The current privacy statement has been updated on May 25, 2018.
